It’s the place where we were humbly blessed to get the goodness of food, dependability on the sources of food and eventually, the value of life. It’s the place where we became responsible stewards of our Lord God’s creations and where we rekindle healthier fulfilment of our spiritual, physical & mental need. The flourishing fruit bearing trees and garden flora at geannhomegarden is God’s way of compensating my spouse & me for growing old. Our relocation to geannhomegarden was indeed a makeover for me in particular.
After my farm drills each morning, reading the Bible became my passion because of God’s word of direction & encouragement that are available for us. (Jeremiah 15:16 “Your words were found and I ate them and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart”). His Word brings nourishment in our new environment and new life. The Bible has changed our priorities, attitudes and actions. It pointed us in the right direction; and above all His Word turned us to be spiritually fit.
During our 9 years of farm living, we’ve experienced a number of typical inconveniences mainly due to health issues & natural cause. Blissfully, His Word carries us over them with spiritual vitality. We remained optimistic to face the broken opportunity in our plans. And surprisingly, I begin to imagine that God is with us at geannhomegarden. That He is present through the day while my spouse & I bring work, exercise, leisure & prayer together.
My belief that God is near has strengthen our relationship of my spouse, our relationship with our beloved mothers & families with much respect, love & care. (Genesis 28:15-16 “And behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest and will bring thee again into..”).
God willing, we will endeavour to fulfil our objective of maintaining the natural beauty of God’s creation and to build up this place for fellowship where young people and elders can meet their need for togetherness with joy - physically, mentally and spiritually.
